Inauguration and Blessing of a New Classroom at St. Kizito Rupert Primary School

Inauguration and Blessing of a New Classroom at St. Kizito Rupert Primary School

Today, we joyfully inaugurated and blessed a new classroom at St. Kizito Rupert Primary School, a wonderful gift from the generous philanthropists and donors from Mangalore, Mr. Michael D’Souza, Mrs. Flavia D’Souza, and their family. This generous contribution is a significant step towards providing a better learning environment for the children and strengthening our commitment to quality education.
The blessing ceremony was led by Rev. Fr. Hilary Lobo, Mission Director and Parish Priest. The children actively participated in the beautiful prayer service, welcoming the guests and assisting in the various parts of the celebration with great enthusiasm and joy.
One of the highlights of the occasion was the participation of children representing different tribes, dressed in their traditional attire. Their presence beautifully symbolised the unity and harmony among children from diverse tribal backgrounds who live together at Rupert Children’s Home and study together at St. Kizito Rupert Primary School. Despite their different backgrounds, they share one home, one school, and one common dream for a brighter future. The children’s representatives warmly welcomed everyone and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the donors for their generous support.
During the prayer service, special prayers were offered for Mr. Michael D’Souza, Mrs. Flavia D’Souza, and their family, asking God to bless them abundantly for their kindness and generosity. Prayers were also offered for Mr. Lionel and Mr. Oswald, who visited Rupert Children’s Home and recommended this classroom project. Their visit, encouragement, and support played an important role in bringing this initiative to fruition.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Alwyn D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Victor Machado, Rev. Fr. George Crasta, and Rev. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues. Sister Faith, the Headmistress of St. Kizito Rupert Primary School, other religious sisters, and the Grail Sisters also participated in the celebration, adding to the joy and significance of the day.
Following the blessing and inauguration, everyone shared a meal with the children, making the occasion a beautiful celebration of fellowship, love, and togetherness.
This new classroom is more than just a building; it is a symbol of hope and a valuable investment in the future of our children. It will provide them with a better environment for learning, growing, and developing their God-given talents.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Michael D’Souza, Mrs. Flavia D’Souza, and their family for their generosity and concern for the education and well-being of our children. We also sincerely thank Mr. Lionel and Mr. Oswald for their encouragement and support in recommending this project.
May the Lord bless all our benefactors abundantly and reward their generosity. May this new classroom become a place where children grow in knowledge, wisdom, faith, and love, and where they are inspired to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Together, we build not only classrooms but also hope, unity, and a better future for our children.
